Tanis Shaw

Services for Tanis Helene (Thomas) Shaw, 46, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Larry Hawkins. Burial will follow at Pontotoc Cemetery.

Ms. Shaw passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at her home. She was born May 18, 1972 at Shawnee to Tommy and Glenda Clayton Thomas. She attended and graduated from McLish Schools.

She married DeShiko Shaw. He preceded her in death in 2005. Ms. Shaw was a Certified Nurse Assistant at area nursing homes.

Survivors include her fiancé, William Runnels; her six children, Brittany Woodard, Courtney Shaw and Damion Willis, Desmond Shaw and wife Shelby, Desirea Shaw, Isaiah Shaw, Tanisha Shaw and Keagon Shaw; 17 grandchildren; and two brothers, Donny Thomas and wife Erica and Tommy Thomas and wife Hannah.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, DeShiko; a son, DeShiko Thomas; her brother, Steven Thomas; grandmothers, Doris Stevens and Niki Thomas; grandfather, Glen Clayton; and granddaughter, Montanis Shaw.

Bearers will be Keagon Shaw, Desmond Shaw, Isaiah Shaw, Travis Howry, Damion Willis and Bradley Hawkins. Honorary bearers will be Donny Thomas and Tommy Thomas.
