Susan Jorrey
ADA-Memorial services for Susan Ellison Jorrey, 84, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Tyler Cope and Bud Ross will officiate.
Mrs. Jorrey died Sunday, March 15, 2015 at an Ada hospital. She was born November 24, 1930 in Manhattan, New York, to Leon Justus and Harriett Ellison Snell. She grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Dolgeville High School in Dolgeville, New York in 1948.
She married Wilfred "Bill" Leslie Jorrey on November 23, 1952. He preceded her in death on June 12, 2009. She completed her nursing degree from Crouse-Irving Hospital, Syracuse, New York in 1951. After becoming a registered nurse she became the school nurse in Rockwall, TX for many years.
Survivors include a daughter, Valerie Cope and husband Bennie of Ada; three sons, Kevin Jorrey and wife Debbie of Carrollton, TX, Scott Jorrey and wife Trisha of Garland, TX and Mark Jorrey and wife Anginette of Ft. Worth, TX; a brother, Theodore E. Snell of Nevada; 12 grandchildren, Shelly Glover, Melissa Allison and husband Craig, Brian Jorrey and wife Angela, Katie Tyler and husband Corry, Tyler Cope, Susan Cope, Brett Jorrey and wife Yesy, Megan Jorrey, Shannon Jorrey, Erin Jorrey, Kayla Jorrey and Jordan Jorrey; and 10 great-grandchildren,
