Sue Tyler

Memorial services for Elois Sue Odom Tyler, 83, of Ada are 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2020 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Bob Wingo will officiate.

Mrs. Tyler passed away Monday, January 27, 2020 at her home. She was born August 5, 1936 at Morgan, TX to Lloyd Owen Odom and Inez Earl Pettigrew Odom.

The Odom family moved to Casa Grande where Sue was raised and graduated from Casa Grande High School. In 1955, Sue met the love of her life soon after he moved to Casa Grande from Wynnewood, Oklahoma. On December 30, 1955 Sue was married to Bobby Lee Tyler in Coolidge, AZ.

Bob and Sue settled their family in Saratoga California. Sue was a stay at home mother to her four children during the day and worked the second shift at Fairchild Semiconductor from 1962 – 1970.

In 1970 Sue and Bob took their family back to where their heart was in Oklahoma to raise their growing family. Sue raised her children in Stratford, Oklahoma. In 1980 Sue became an LPN at the Sulphur Veterans Center in Sulphur, Oklahoma where she served in various nursing and training capacities until her retirement.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Tyler, of the home; two sons, Karl Tyler and wife Cindi, Blanchard, OK and John Tyler and wife Laura, Cypress, TX; a daughter, Belinda Engel and husband Danny, Ada, OK; 12 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Leslie, Casa Grande, AZ; and brother, Bob Odom, Maricopa, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kenneth Tyler; two brothers, Jim and Jerry Odom; and three sisters, Shirley Triponey, Patsy Green and Maxylene Crabbe.
