Storm Thompson

Graveside services for Storm Strickland Thompson, 87, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024 at East Hill Cemetery; Rev. David Gray will officiate.

Mrs. Thompson passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Ada.  She was born July 7, 1937, in Ada to Jonathan Walter and Eula Mae Van Zant Strickland.  Mrs. Thompson received her Master's Degree and taught for Ada City Schools.

Survivors include her six sons, Darren Calaway and wife Sherri of Ada, Blayne Calaway and wife Twila of Ada, Guy Calaway of Tulsa, Danny Calaway and wife Dana of Ada, Jay Duty and wife Susan of Inola, OK, and Ladd Duty and wife Sherri of Tyrone, OK; three sisters, Darice Scott of Guthrie, Pam Chronister and husband Wayne of Noble, and Zeddra Walden and husband Brent of Ada; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and other loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Misty Lynn Duty; husband, Alvin Calaway; husband, James Duty; husband, Leon Thompson; close friend, Gene Staggs; and grandson, Colton Calaway.
