STEVEN LILLEY
ADA-Services for Steven Allie Lilley, 97, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Jasper Ligon will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakman Cemetery.
Mr. Lilley died Thursday, January 8, 2009 at a local nursing home. He was born June 30, 1911 at Francis, Oklahoma to Steven Shirley and Claverta LaVada Mitchell Lilley. He lived in this area all his life and attended school at Denney.
He married Ruby Anthia Tharp on June 26, 1930. She preceded him in death on February 20, 2003. Mr. Lilley was employed in the mold shop at Brockway Glass Company, retiring after 32 years of service. He also owned and operated a television repair service at his home. He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include a nephew whom he helped raise, Ray Tharp and wife Donna, Ada; numerous other nieces and nephews; and a brother. Jesse Lilley, Spalding.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and four sisters.
Bearers will be J. O. Kirby, Buddy Craig, Curtis Hogue, James Mouser, Lucas Stonecipher, and Dewey McDonald. Honorary bearers will be Jim Lillard and Bencie Lillard.
