Stephanie Howerton
ADA-Memorial services for Stephanie Diane Howerton, 56, of Ada, are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Toby Willoughby will officiate.
Mrs. Howerton died Sunday, February 15, 2015 at her home. She was born March 4, 1958 in Fresno, California to Clarence and Verna Crawford Akers. She graduated from North Salinas High School in Salinas, CA. She moved to Ada in 1980.
She married James Howerton on November 15, 1980. Mrs. Howerton was a homemaker and a licensed medical assistant. She was an accomplished seamstress and a member of the First Christian Church in Salinas, CA.
Survivors include her husband, James Howerton, of the home; two sons, Jonathan Lee Akers of Oklahoma City and Tommy James Howerton and wife Amanda of Stratford; a daughter, Lea Dawn Boston and husband Jason of Oklahoma City; her mother, Verna Mae Phillips of CA; two sisters, Christina Menez of CA and Clarissa Beason of AZ; her grandchildren, Jennifer Rene, Averyana, Keiosha, Janitra, Jamela, Anthony, Jazmine, Leilani, Madelyn, Julia, Jayci, Sherry, Samantha and Serina; and great-grandchildren, Braxton, Jayden, Journey and Shamia.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Akers and a sister, Jennifer Michelle Phillips.
