STELLA REYNOLDS

ADA-Private graveside services will be held for Stella Mae Reynolds, 101, Ada, Rev. Bob Langston will officiate.

Mrs. Reynolds died Monday, June 9, 2008 at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born October 22, 1906 at Earlsboro, Indian Territory to Robert Leon and Ella Thomas Fancher. She received her undergraduate and masters degrees from East Central State College.

She married Lawrence Neal Reynolds on March 22, 1930 in Oklahoma City. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1993. They were married for 63 years.Mrs. Reynolds taught in the Ada Public Schools for twenty five years. She was a longtime active member of the First United Methodist Church, a member of the Oklahoma Education Association, American Association of University Women, the Ada Garden Club, Tanti Study Club, the United Methodist Women, and a life member of the Camp Fire Girls Board.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ella Eckles and her husband, Jess Taylor, Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, Phillip Eckles, McAlester, Robert and Andrea Eckles of Houston, Texas, and Leslie Brown and Warren of Brentwood, TN, and four great grandchildren, Bailee and Samantha Eckles and Ethan and Alexandra Brown; and two sisters, Dorothy Schneider and Marie Kirk of Tulsa.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, and two brothers.

The family says those who wish may make memorials to the First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 566, Ada, Oklahoma 74821; or the charity of choice.
