Memorial services for Stanley Keith LaFevers, 55, of Ada are at 10:00 am. Wednesday 30 July 2025 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Pastors Kyle Mott and Bruce Herion will officiate.

Mr. LaFevers passed away Wednesday, 23 July 2025, in Ada due to complications from a long illness.  He was born 19 January 1970 at St. Anthony's Hospital in McAlester, Oklahoma to Gary Lee LaFevers and Fleta Inell Fry.  He was a mechanical engineer and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his mother.   Survivors include his children, Wyatt Lee LaFevers of Courtland, Virginia, Kaitlyn Skye LaFevers of Andrews, Texas and father, Gary LaFevers (Jeanette) of Belton, Texas.   He is also survived by his sister Savannah Mott (Kyle) and their children Lyric, Lailyn and Loxleigh of Ada; sister Stephanie Cassell of Ada and her children Shani Cassell, Austin Bailey and Kolton Parr; sister Aimee LaFevers Baker (Raymond) of Temple, Tx and sister Katie LaFevers Brinkmann (Sebastian) of Munich, Germany and their daughter Perla. He is also survived by Justin Bass of Franklin, Virginia whom he considered part of his family.

Stanley loved all things Scottish especially Loch Shiel located in the Highland Council area of Scotland. He was a big fan of western movies and enjoyed watching Shane, Lonesome Dove and Jeremiah Johnson to name a few.   He was proud of his service in the Navy as a hull technician aboard the submarine tender USS Emory S Lands and his work as a mechanical engineer commissioning and decommissioning electrical generating plants.  One of his most memorable and dangerous jobs was in Afghanistan where he commissioned an electrical generating plant while under fire from rebels in the surrounding area.     His last work was decommissioning a plant on Lake Michigan in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. But most of all Stanley loved spending time with his children and other members of his family.

Stanley had many colleagues and friends throughout the world with whom he remained in contact.  Although he often appeared a bit gruff, he had a kind and soft heart to all who knew and loved him.
