STONEWALL-Graveside services for Sonja Sue Benavidez, 75 of Stonewall are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Highland Cemetery in Stonewall.
Mrs. Benavidez died Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at her home. She was born June 10, 1939 in Jesse to Heas and Nellie Gouge Anderson. She graduated from high school in New Mexico.
She married Paul Benavidez. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Benavidez was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone in New Mexico and Oklahoma until her retirement.
Survivors include a brother, Jerry Clyde Anderson of Stonewall; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers and five sisters.
