Sidney Blythe

Services Sidney Lee Blythe, 64, of Asher, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2025, at A Place of New Hope Calvary Church, with Toby Willoughby officiating. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, February 16, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Criswell Funeral Home.

Sidney passed away on February 13, 2025, in Oklahoma City. He was born on October 21, 1960, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Orvin and Callie Jo Boswell Blythe.

Sidney was a devoted husband and father.  He retired from Tinker after 35 years and worked as a consultant for Boeing, where he applied his expertise in support of the B-1 Depot.  Sidney was known for his hard work, integrity, and the kindness he shared with everyone he met.

On May 28, 1982, Sidney married Sheila Spence, and together they built a loving home. Sidney is survived by his wife, Sheila, of the home; his son, Daniel Blythe; two sisters, Gyula Duncan and Barbara Ellis and her husband David; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orvin and Callie Jo Boswell Blythe, and his son, Daryl Blythe.

Pallbearers will be Allen Garrison, Forrest Hood, Scott Clinch, Kevin Atkeson, Brad Rogers, Aaron Nowlin, and Tim Cornelius.

Sidney will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, kindness, and hard work will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
