Shirley Posey

Graveside services for Shirley Ann Posey, 95, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Posey died Thursday, October 29, 2026, at her home. She was born September 25, 1931, to Harry and Veronica M. Sitter Gilliam.

She graduated from Hartshorne High School in 1950. On February 3, 1951, she married the love of her life, Harold Ray Posey, Sr., beginning a marriage and a lifetime of memories together.

Throughout her working years, she dedicated herself to serving others as a waitress until her retirement. Through her years of hard work, she touched the lives of many people along the way.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where her faith was an important part of her life.

Survivors include her daughter, Debra Ann Cunha, of Newalla; sons, Tony Posey and wife, Sandy, of Ada, Shannon Posey and wife, Marsha, of Ada; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Posey, Sr.; son, Harold “Hal” Posey, Jr., and her parents.
