SHIRLEY MYERS
ADA-Services for Shirley Maxine Myers, 78, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Mickey Shaw will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Myers died Monday, January 13, 2014 at a Midwest City hospital. She was born June 15, 1935 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Elmer and Modena Hammond Young. She attended school in Porterville, California.
She married Charles Vernon Myers on June 14, 1952 in Ada. Mrs. Myers worked at Wal-Mart for 26 years. She was a member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Vernon Myers, of Seminole; a daughter, Sharon Shaw and husband Mickey of Seminole; her son, Ricky Myers of Yukon; her three grandsons, Derek Shaw and wife Rachel, Brandon Shaw and wife Amy, and Ricky Myers and wife Jessica; one granddaughter, Angie Parks and husband Jade; three great grandchildren, Jaxon Shaw and Ella and Jase Parks; two brothers, Larry and Nancy Young and Jimmy Young; two brothers-in-law, Gene and Pat Myers and Stanley and Joann Myers; a sister-in-law, Velma Woods; a niece, Norma Weger; and a nephew, Mike Meredith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and two brothers.
Bearers will be Derek Shaw, Brandon Shaw, Jade Parks, Ricky Myers, Kevin Young, Jordan Young and Ronnie Myers.
