SHIRLEY JAMES
STRATFORD-Memorial services for Shirley Ruth James, 66, Stratford, are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Life Point Church, formerly the Master's House in Stratford. Rev. Scott Miller will officiate.
Mrs. James died Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at her home. She was born February 20, 1942 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to J. C. "Bud" and Druzilla Kendell Williams. She lived all her life in the Stratford area. She attended schools in Pauls Valley.
She married Harold James November 8, 1958 at Gainesville, Texas. Mrs. James was a homemaker and affiliated with the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Harold James, of the home; two daughters, Tammy Woodall and husband Scott, Nashville, TN, and Cristal Wartchow and husband Chad, Roff; a son, Harold James, Jr., Stratford; two granddaughters, Jody Ann Woodall, Nashville, TN, and Carley Denise Collings, Roff; a grandson, Coy Brewer Wartchow, Roff; and three sisters, Ouida McClain, Pauls Valley, Tommie Johnson, Pauls Valley, and Lee Ann Norman, Chaparral, NM; and a special friend, Lucy Lou.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a granddaughter, Rachel Woodall of Ada in 2002.
