ADA-Memorial services for Shirley Ann Jackson, 68, Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Gary Jamar will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jackson died Sunday, November 29, 2009 at a local hospital. She was born April 30, 1941 at Ada, Oklahoma to Mulford and Minnie Maxine Horath Johnson. She attended school at Narbonne High School in Harbor City, California, and lived in the Ada area most of her life.
She married Elgie Howard Jackson on September 9, 1989 at Latta. Mrs. Jackson was employed in the environmental service department with the Chickasaw Nation until her retirement. She was affiliated with Morris Memorial Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Jackson, of the home; three sons, Richard Johnson and wife Cheryl, Konawa, Dennis Johnson, Ada, and Joe Johnson and wife Tina, Ada; one step-son, Donnie Jackson, Duncan; two daughters, Toni Hamilton, Lake Elsinore, CA, Dixie Ernst-Phillips and husband, Jamie "Snuffy" Phillips, Ada; two step-daughters, Deanna Cooney, Duncan, and Doreen Jackson, Duncan; two sisters, Minnie King, Ada and Betty Alvarado and husband John, Ft. Worth, TX; one brother, Bobbie Johnson and wife Colleen, Ada; grandchildren, Mike Ernst, Mark Ernst, Mikala Ernst, Dalton Phillips, Tommy "Rooter" Lee, Triston Johnson, Chase Johnson, all of Ada, Cassie Lee, Tulsa; Kathleen Johnson and Ricky Johnson, Konawa, Jay Johnson, Paige Lee, Caleb Jackson, Rachel Jackson, all of Sulphur, Tyler Jackson, Steven Ward, LaRinda Ward, Michael Cooney, Gabriel Cooney, all of Duncan, Kenneth "Dugan" Johnson, Harry Price III, Jacob Price, Jeremy Waller, Jack Waller III, Rebecca Hamilton, all of Lake Elsinore, CA, and Jackie Jackson of Mante, CA; two great grandchildren, Kyleigh Jackson, Mante, CA and Kasen Wayne Ernst, Wynnewood; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Honorary bearers will be her grandsons, Mike Ernst, Mark Ernst, Dalton Phillips, Chase Johnson, Jay Johnson, Ricky Johnson, and Kenneth "Dugan" Johnson.
