SHIRLEY COUNTS
FRANCIS-Services for Shirley June Counts, 67, Francis, are 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Rodger Arter will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Francis.
Ms. Counts died Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born June 23, 1940 at Roff, Oklahoma to John and Beatrice Harris Stinson. She graduated from Roff High School in 1958 and lived in this area all her life.
She married Charles A. L. Counts, Jr. on August 31, 1963 at Ada, Oklahoma. He died March 27, 2001 in Ada. Ms. Counts worked at the Francis school cafeteria, retiring in 1995 with over 20 years of service. She was a member of the Byng Free Will Baptist Church, and actively sang in the local Gospel Singings.
Survivors include three sons, Chad Counts and wife Jan, Stonewall, Chuck Counts and wife Leah, Francis, and Clint Counts, Francis; one daughter, Carla Counts, Francis; eight grandchildren, Chase Counts, Ada, Amber and Brandi Paretti, Stonewall, Sage Counts, Stonewall, Cheyenne, Cierra and Chesney Counts, Francis, and Easton Pingleton, Francis; two sisters, Nova Gray and husband Steve, Oil Center, and Janice Carty and husband Terry, Shawnee; one brother, Doug Stinson and wife Janice, Allen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jimmy Stinson, and a sister, Aleta Murray.
Bearers will be Clark Gray, Mark Gray, Jeff Elliott, Kevin Stinson, Calab Roland, and Robert Malon. Honorary bearers are Melvin Williamson, Bob Hatcher, Todd Williamson, and Don Gonderman.
