SHERRY JACKSON

ADA-Services for Sherry June Jackson, 50, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Ada Church of the Nazarene, Revs. Stephen Nation and Bob Davis officiating. Burial follows at Highland Cemetery, Stonewall.

Mrs. Jackson died on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at a local hospital. She was born November 23, 1957, in Ada to Robert A. and Violet M. Shelton Sliger. She attended Byng School and Bethany Nazarene College. She retired after 27 years of service as a teller, teller supervisor, and other positions at American Federal Savings and Loan, which is now Bank of the West. She was a member of Ada Church of the Nazarene.

She married Richard Jackson on September 12, 1980.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Jackson, of the home; a daughter, Jayce Michelle Jackson, Ada; a son, Jarrod Jackson, Ada; parents, Robert and Violet Sliger, Ada; a brother, Bobby K. Sliger, Lexington, Kentucky; and two sisters, Janice Kay Childress and husband Martin, Ada; and Linda Gail Long and husband Jeff, Ada; and mother-in-law, I. B. Jackson. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Roshea and Andrew Sliger, and John Henry and Minola Shelton; and father-in-law, Minora Jackson.

Bearers are Chad Sliger, Chris Sliger, Sean Childress, Robert Long, Eric Gerthe and Dieter Gerthe. Honorary bearers are Lisa Groves, Becky Handley, Kellye Griffith, Anita Arbabi, Linda Starkey and Tisha Todd.
