SHERMAN PAYNE
ATWOOD-Services for Sherman Lee Payne, 71, Atwood, are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Martin Guston will officiate. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery.
Mr. Payne died Monday, August 10, 2009 at his home. He was born August 16, 1938 at Blanchard, Oklahoma to Arthur and Vivian Jones Payne. He moved to this area in 1989 from California.
Mr. Payne married Sylvia Irene Moye on July 5, 1991 in Allen, Oklahoma. He was a press line mechanic for American Can Company until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Irene Payne, of the home; two sons, Wayne Kelley, Cromwell and Michael Moye, of the home; two daughters, Julia Mayfield, Austin, TX and Kitty Flynn, Carson City, NV; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Payne, Allen, and Ray Payne, Gerty; and his father, Arthur Payne, Allen.
He was preceded in death by a step-son, Rodney Kelley and his mother, Vivian Payne.
Bearers will be Wayne Kelley, Ray Payne, Ron Reece, David Wininger, Jeff Stewart and Eddie Jones.
