Sharon McConnell

Services for Sharon June McConnell, 71, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Randy Golden will officiate. Burial will follow at Denney Cemetery.

Mrs. McConnell passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at a local nursing home. She was born April 9, 1947 at Ada to Jack Walden and Vere Estelle Shannon Walker. She graduated from Latta High School.

She married John Elwood McConnell April 17, 1976. He preceded her in death July 29, 2017. Mrs. McConnell had previously been employed at Sadie's Café working for her mother. Later, she was a dispatcher, cashier and waitress at various businesses.

Survivors include two daughters, Staci Renae Steele and Dawn Leah Edwards and husband Justin, all of Ada; two brothers, Jerry Walker of Oklahoma City and Jack Walker of Reno, NV; two sisters, Deborah Kay Walker of Ada and Sandra Maihos of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren, Cody McConnell, Tim Miller, Shawna Miller, Chelsi Gould, Tyson Gould and Caleb Gould; and her numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Tommy Walker.

Bearers will be Cody McConnell, Tim Miller, Shawna Miller, Tyson Gould, Caleb Gould and Justin Edwards.
