SCOTT HOUCHEN
ADA-Services for Scott Lee Houchen, 44, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Ada. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Houchen died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at a local hospital. He was born June 17, 1970 in Ada, Oklahoma to Rick and Clareca Houchen Bishop. He lived in this area all his life.
He married Sonja Hodge. They were married for 17 years. Mr. Houchen was a derrick hand in the oilfield industry.
Survivors include his wife, Sonja Hodge of the home; five daughters, Heather Hodge, Tiffany Houchen Sherwood and husband Timothy, Julie Byington Parker and her husband Matthew, Destiny Johnson and her husband Jeffrey, all of Ada, and Stormy Houchen, of the home; his parents, Clareca Houchen Bishop and Rick Bishop of Ada; two brothers, Michael Lawrence of Shawnee and Dustin Bishop of Oklahoma City; his mother-in-law, Velma Carter of Stratford; 9 grandchildren; and 5 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, 2 cousins and 1 uncle.
Bearers will be Timothy Sherwood, Matthew Parker, Tyler Lowry, Terry Grant, Shane McGuire and Jeffrey Johnson.
