SARAH "TRUDY" VEASEY
ADA-A Family Gathering will be held for Sarah Elizabeth "Trudy" Veasey, 73, of Ada from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the Linkugel home at 15905 CR 3500 Loop, Ada.
Mrs. Veasey died Sunday, August 26, 2012 at her home in Ada. She was born April 10, 1939 in Eucha, Oklahoma to Glen and Elda Wilson Day. She graduated from the Chiloco Indian School.
She married Walter Veasey in June, 1964 at Whittier, California. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Veasey was a nurse in the Air Force and later a nurse's aide. She moved back to Oklahoma in the Summer of 1978 from LaPuente, California. Mrs. Veasey was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ada.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Linkugel and husband Butch of Ada; a sister, LaVerne McGuire, Ada; brother, Bill Day, Summerville, GA; her grandchildren, Cherri Dukes and husband Shaun, Lawton, Josh Gregory, Ada, Ronnie and wife Nikki Rueth, Wenatchee, WA, Rohnnee Baker, Thermopolis, WY, Sara and Travis Cardinal, Anna, TX, and Amber and Ashley, Anna, TX; great grandchildren, Kyana Gregory, Durant, OK, Legacy Gregory, Lawton, OK, Laney Linkugel, Anna, TX, and John Roy Cardinal, Anna, TX; her nieces, Kristy McGuire, Ada, and Becky Wheeler and husband Greg, Summerville, GA; her nephews, Michael McGuire and wife Heather, Ada, and Dylan McGuire, Ada.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Elda Day; her husband, Walter Veasey; a daughter, Kathy Baker; and brother-in-law, Mike McGuire.
