Sandra Jean Stafford

Services for Sandra Jean Stafford, 89, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2026, at First Methodist Church; Rev. Brian Matthews will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Stafford passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2026, in Ada. She was born December 27, 1936, in Tulsa, to James Claude and Vera Woodward Rollins.

Sandra was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, whose greatest happiness came from spending time with her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were truly the joy of her life, and she treasured every opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments and create lasting memories together.

Throughout her life, Sandra was deeply involved in her community. She was a proud member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and the Salvation Army Ladies Auxiliary, where she formed lifelong friendships while serving others. She generously volunteered her time at the PAWS Animal Shelter, reflecting her lifelong compassion for animals. Sandra also enjoyed the fellowship of two local bridge groups and devoted many years to mentoring young people as a Cub Scout Den Mother and Girl Scout Troop Leader, positively influencing the lives of countless children.

Sandra embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity. She loved attending bluegrass festivals, playing tennis, and horseback riding. In her later years, she discovered a remarkable talent for photography, earning recognition through several award-winning photographs. She especially enjoyed capturing the beauty of birds, butterflies, and the natural world through her camera lens.

Travel brought Sandra great happiness, and she delighted in exploring new places and experiences. One of her greatest recent joys was fulfilling a lifelong dream by taking a Viking Cruise, an adventure she had long hoped to experience and one she treasured deeply.

Survivors include her son, Doug Stafford and wife, Lisa, of Norman; daughter, Lori Crowson, of Ada; grandchildren, Diana Jones and husband, Steven, Paul Stafford and partner, Josh McGowen, Michael Stafford, and Rebekah Stafford; and great grandchildren, Ethan Jones, Phillip Jones, and Henry Jones.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. “Jim” Stafford; parents; and brother, Jim Rollins.

Bearers are Paul Stafford, Michael Stafford, Steven Jones, Lee Rackley, Ethan Jones, and Rebekah Stafford. Honorary bearers are Wayne Jones, Mark Yeager, and Josh McGowen.
