SANDRA CLINTON
ADA-Services for Sandra Kay Clinton, 68, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Central Church of Christ, Bud Ross will officiate. Burial will follow at Denny Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Clinton died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at her home. She was born December 19, 1944 in Ada, Oklahoma to Woodrow Wilson Matthews and Imogene Bingham Matthews. She attended Irving Grade School and graduated from Ada High School. She graduated with honors from East Central State College with a double major in elementary and business education.
She married Larry Clinton on December 27, 1963 in Ada. Mrs. Clinton taught at Byng School from 1966 until retiring in 2001. She was a longtime member of Central Church of Christ, the Oklahoma Education Association and the Oklahoma Retired Educators Association.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Clinton, of the home; a son, Darren Clinton and his wife Kristi of Ada; a daughter, Tara Humphers and her husband Geoff of Ada; a brother, Dewayne Matthews and his wife Marita of Oklahoma City; and five grandchildren, Kynlee and Krosby Clinton, and Clinton, Lauryn and Lyndi Humphers.
Bearers will be Darren Clinton, Geoff Humphers, Clinton Humphers, Rick Matthews, Patrick Presley and Tanner Taylor. Honorary bearers will be the Thursday Morning Ladies Bible Class.
