SAM ALLENBAUGH
ADA-Services for Sammy Ross Allenbaugh, 81, Ada, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Steve Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Allenbaugh died Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born Oct. 18, 1929, to Sammy S. and Martha Fannie Ketron Allenbaugh in Harrah. He grew up in the Gerty area and attended Gerty Schools. Mr. Allenbaugh served in the U.S. Air Force from 1948 to 1968, retiring in 1968. He moved back to the Ada area in 1975 where he owned and operated Sam's Refrigeration Service until 1991. Mr. Allenbaugh was a member of the McAlester AF&AM, was a 32 degree Mason and a member McAlester Consistory.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Allenbaugh and wife Terry, Ada, and Samuel Wesley Allenbaugh, Grove City, FL; a daughter, Rachael Diane Arias, Los Angeles, CA; granddaughter, Nicole Buxton and husband Dewayne, Ada; and two great-grandchildren, Bryson James Buxton and Bella Grace Buxton.
Bearers are Tom Killian, Dewayne Buxton, Craig Whipple, Bill Bolin and Mack Smith.
