ADA-Services for Samantha J. Billy-Kemp, 37, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Ada, Rev. Dan Factor will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. A Wake Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kemp died Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at a local hospital. She was born October 23, 1972 at Brigham City, Utah to Sammy and Laverna Harrison Billy. She graduated from Wewoka High School in 1990.
She married Max Kemp on July 2, 2010 in Ada. Mrs. Kemp had worked for Carl Albert Indian Health System as a lab phlebotomist, she had worked at Pre-Paid Legal, and had been employed with the Chickasaw Nation in the Child Support Services Department.
Survivors include her husband, Max Kemp, of the home; daughter, Shaina Billy and her daughter, Rihanna Jones, Ada; a son, Ryan Billy of the home and Cody and Monte Carpitcher of the home; step-daughters, Mary Tyson, Sulphur and Kristen Kemp, Virginia; a step-son, Derek Kemp, Virginia; her father and step-mother, Sammy and Rhonda Billy of Fittstown; father-in-law, Bobby Kemp, Sr., Sulphur; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Juanita and Kenneth Williams, Wewoka, April Harjo, Holdenville, Debbie Harjo and Raymond Pennock, Stroud, Eartha and Andrew Bartee, Ada, and LaDawn Billy, Marietta, GA; her brothers-in-law, Bobby and Zachary Kemp, Sulphur; 17 nieces and nephews; and 14 great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Laverna Harrison; maternal grandparents, Grover and Judy Harrison; paternal grandfather, Bruce Billy; a sister, Waukomis Harjo; and a nephew, Dakota Pennock.
Bearers will be her nephews, Kit Pennock, William Pennock, Dustin Harjo, Tom Williams and Jesse Williams, and a cousin, Jerome Harrison. Honorary bearers will be her brothers-in-law, Raymond Pennock, Kenneth Williams, Andrew Bartee, Bobby Kemp Jr, and Zachary Kemp, and her son-in-law, Patrick Jones.
