Sadie Mae Coffman, 72, of Ada
Mrs. Coffman died Sunday, February 26, 2012 at her home.
She was born March 9, 1939 in Stratford, OK to George Wyatt and Verlie McConnell Wyatt Turner. She graduated from Latta High School. She attended nursing school at East Central University.
She married Jimmy Coffman. He preceded her in death on August 20, 2005. Mrs. Coffman was a retired nurse's aide from Valley View Regional Hospital. Later she was employed by Mel's Meat Market and Gaar Corner Flower Shop.
The most important career she held was the job of "Nana". While raising a family of her own, she made a difference in the lives of many others who always filled her home.
Survivors include four daughters, Georgia Blaylock, of Stuart, Sabrina Wheat of Latta, Betty Woods, McAlester, and Shirley Keefer, Konawa; a son, Jimmy Coffman, Jr., of Fresno, CA; 15 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Coffman; a son, John Coffman; a brother, James Turner; and 2 grandchildren.
