RUTH WALDEN
UNION VALLEY-Services for Ruth Ellen Walden, 78, Union Valley, are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Roger Ceskeys will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Walden died Thursday, July 22, 2010 at her home. She was born July 15, 1932 at Mountain Crest, Arkansas to William Olin and Margaret Vass Jackson. She attended school in Justin, Texas.
She married Elmer David Walden on October 5, 1968. He preceded her in death on July 2, 2009. Mrs. Walden was an administrative assistant for Warehouse Christian Ministries, Inc. in Sacramento, California for many years. She and her husband moved back to Ada in 1999 from Sacramento.
Survivors include three brothers, William "Billy" Jackson, Union Valley, John Jackson and wife Jenny, Corona, CA, and James Jackson and wife Ann, Oklahoma City; two sisters, Joice Sliger and her husband Royce, Owl Creek, and Lois Burris, Ada; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bearers will be her nephews. Honorary bearers will be her nieces.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Warehouse Christian Ministries, Inc., 9933 Business Park Drive, Sacramento, CA 95827.
