RUTH SEXTON

FITTSTOWN-Services for Ruth Ann Sexton, 58, Fittstown, are 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Junior Scroggins will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.

Mrs. Sexton died Thursday, January 15, 2009 at her home. She was born January 29, 1950 at Ada, Oklahoma to George W. and Dena Thelma Coots Sims. She attended Ahloso schools and graduated from Stonewall High School.

She married Ronald E. Sexton on May 23, 1968. Mrs. Sexton was a homemaker and had previously worked as a secretary at Criswell Funeral Home from 1990 to 1999 and later she was a bookkeeper for Ram Jack, Inc. from 1999 until 2001. She was affiliated with the Fittstown Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ron Sexton, of the home; two sons, Tony Sexton and wife Susan, Ada, and Warren Sexton and wife Rebecca, Las Vegas, Nevada; one daughter, Amanda Sexton and Justin Wood, Ada; eight grandchildren, Kacey Sexton, Ashleigh Sexton, Jake Sexton, Cody Sexton, Dalyn Wood, Keria Wood, Abbi Phelps, and Holley Wood; one great grandson, Aaron Gage Clemmons; three brothers, Preston Sims, Moore, T. W. Sims, Stonewall, and Lewis Sims, Ada; five sisters, Margaret Green, Ahloso, Georgia Jennings, Ft. Smith, AR, Peggy Harber, Tishomingo, Evelyn Timmons, Oklahoma City, and Mildred Keplar, Joplin, MO; and numerous well loved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Lois Hellman, a daughter-in-law, Tawana Sexton; grandchildren, Shania Sexton and Michael Sexton; and her mother-in-law, Midge Sexton.

Bearers will be her sons, Tony and Warren Sexton, and Matt Jennings, Steve Skokos, Kent Pharr, Darrell Sims, Trevar Jennings, and Russell Sims. Honorary bearers will be Dan Henley, Thomas Sims, and Buster Greenwood.
