RUTH MINTON
ENID-Graveside services for Ruth E. Minton, 101, Enid, formerly of Ada are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Harold Ware will officiate.
Mrs. Minton died Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at an Enid assisted living center. She was born August 23, 1910 at Gillham, Arkansas to John R. and Irene Lowe Graham. She attended Gerty grade school and graduated from Allen High School. She also graduated from East Central State Teacher's College in Ada.
She married Ivan R. (Ike) Minton on September 11, 1929 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death January 7, 1957. Mrs. Minton was a teacher in Spaulding, Oklahoma and also taught at Willard Elementary school in Ada.
Mrs. Wines moved to Enid in 1997 to be closer to her family. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Enid.
Survivors include a daughter, Bettye Wines, Enid; three grandchildren, Greg Wines and wife Brenda of Woodward, Lisa McFarland and husband Rocky of Enid, and Kevin Wines and wife Tracy of Enid; seven great grandchildren, Renyssa Wines Berry and husband Jason of Weatherford, Valerie Wines of Woodward, Dr. Aaron Wines of Norman, Kyle Haggard of Alva, Kirk Haggard of Lahoma, Kelly Wines Goggans and husband Kevin of Ft. Worth, TX, and Jeff Wines and wife Jaime of Perry; and five great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, six sisters, two brothers, and a son-in-law, Bill Wines.
Bearers will be Greg Wines, Kevin Wines, Rocky McFarland, Aaron Wines, Kyle Haggard, Kirk Haggard, and Jeff Wines.
