RUBY PRICE

GLENPOOL-Services for Ruby Gertrude Holman Price, 89, Glenpool, formerly of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Fitzhugh Baptist Church, Rev. Toby Youngblood and Rev. Steve Wilburn will officiate. Burial will follow at Lightning Ridge Cemetery.

Mrs. Price died Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at a Tulsa hospital. She was born October 16, 1918 at Owl Creek, Oklahoma to Olaf and Katie Smith Holman. She attended Owl Creek school and graduated from Stonewall High School.

She married Hebert Price December 18, 1943 at Ada, Oklahoma. He died January 11, 1992. Mrs. Price was a homemaker and a member of the Fitzhugh Baptist Church and attended Faith Free Will Baptist Church in Glenpool..

Survivors include one son, Jerry Lee Price and wife Donna, Glenpool; two daughters, Sarah Jane Sampson and husband Wayne, Ada, and Judy Ann Magar and husband Jack, Ada; seven grandchildren, Oliver Lee Jennings, Peggy Jane Reed, Nathan Lee Price, Angela Gayle Land, Andrew Neal Price, Tamara Ann Herald, and Kristina Gertrude English; nine great grandchildren; numerous other friends, relatives and church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Olaf and Katie Holman, her adoptive parents, Carrol and Loula Couche, and a son, Shade Jr. Price.

Bearers will be Nathan Price, Andrew Price, Oliver Jennings, Johnathan Herald, Kevin English, and Steven Ladd. Honorary bearers will be Joe Walker, Floyd Holman, and mother's Sunday School Class at Fitzhugh Baptist Church.
