RUBY JACKSON

ADA-Services for Ruby Lee Jackson, 85, Ada, are 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Criswell Chapel, Rev. Vicki Crooks officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 P.M. on Monday evening at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jackson died on Friday, December 10, 2010, at her home. She was born October 1, 1925, in Wetumka to Newman and Myrtle Byrd Jones. She graduated from Newkirk High School in 1943. She was employed as a bank teller and real estate agent, and worked as a medical secretary at McBride Clinic in Oklahoma City, retiring in 1988 after 20 years employment. She was an active member of First Christian Church in Oklahoma City and First Christian Church in Ada. She loved to cook and travel, and was an avid OU football fan. She also enjoyed ballroom dancing and music.

She married Wayne McDaniel in 1943. She later married J. Paul Jackson in 1973. He preceded her in death in 2006.

Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Butler and her husband Allen, Ada; a son, Mike McDaniel and wife Suzie, Spokane, Washington; 4 grandchildren, Chad, Tamara, Jeremy and Lindsay; 9 great grandchildren; 2 nieces, Barbara Stockwell and Patsy Hartcroft; and one nephew, Duaine Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters.

Bearers are Butch Lorenz, Kent Franz, Paul Whitaker, Don Butler, Danny Alford, Jason Prather and Jeremy Butler.
