SEMINOLE-Services for Ruby Simpkins Gregory, 92, of Seminole, formerly of the Ada area, are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Mr. Michael Wayne Hanks will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gregory died Thursday, July 18, 2013 at a Seminole nursing home. She was born April 18, 1921 in the Egypt Community, west of Ada to John Henry and Ora Gay Vaden Myers. She attended Egypt and Latta schools.

She married Elbert N. Simpkins in 1941. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1992. Mrs. Gregory was a homemaker and had previously worked at Valley View Regional Hospital as a purchasing agent and later supervisor in Central Supply.

Survivors include a daughter, Ruberta Scoggins and her husband Roston of Maud; five grandchildren, Jeter Simpkins of Oklahoma City, Travis Simpkins of Dallas, TX, and Edie Hinton, Jamie Spurr and husband Hank, and Kristie Rhea, all of Ripley, TN; and four great grandchildren, Timmy Holcomb, Cameron Rhea, Jessica Spurr and Serenity Simpkins.

She was preceded in death by a son, James D. Simpkins and a granddaughter, Lindsey Holcomb.

Bearers will be Timmy Holcomb, Cameron Rhea, Travis Simpkins, Jeter Simpkins and Hank Spurr.
