ROY POLO VAZQUEZ
Memorial services for Roy Polo Vazquez, 35, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Ada, Father John D. Norvell will officiate.
Roy died Sunday, October 26th, 2014 at an Oklahoma City hospital surrounded by his wife and family. He was born November 24, 1978 in Ada to Hipolito and Teresa Rodriguez Vazquez.
Roy attended Ada schools and graduated from East Central University. He worked for the family business as the General Manager at Polo's and as a co-owner of the Whip Dip.
Survivors include his wife, Penny Vazquez, of the home; his parents, Hipolito and Teresa Vazquez of Ada; brother, Rick Vazquez and wife Ginger of Ada; his sisters, Rosa Stout and husband James of Ada and Yoli Vazquez of Ada; his mother-in-law, Becky Ebanks; his father-in-law, Chester Ebanks; sister-in-law, Toni Ebanks; brother-in-law, Shea Ebanks and wife Kim of the Grand Cayman Islands; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly – Cesar, Nick, Alyssa, Faith, Stephen, David, Bubba, Emma, Sadie, Wilson and Esmae; and his four-legged son, Spur the cat.
Roy's undying loyalty for his favorite sports teams, OU, the Cubbies, Spurs and Bills, will certainly be remembered by those who knew him. Roy now has a front row seat to all the games and is probably working on pulling strings to get his Cubbies in next year's World Series.
Roy had a loving and gentle soul who loved all creatures and which showed when he played with his nieces and nephews. He left us too soon and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to PAWS, (Pontotoc Animal Welfare Society), 1200 Sandy Creek Drive, Ada, OK 74820.
