ADA-Services for Roy Eugene Futischa, 68, Ada, are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chickasaw Community Center, the Rev. Larry Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at High Hill Cemetery. A wake service will be 6 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Futischa died Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at an Ada hospital. He was born July 20, 1944, to John and Eddie Mae Nelson Futischa at Ada. He attended Ahloso, Stonewall and Sequoyah schools and was employed as a truck driver and construction worker. He was a member of First Indian Baptist Church and served in the United States Air Force.
He and Barbara Ann Gibson were married Jan. 12, 1991. She died May 15, 2008.
Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Rowland, Donna Ward and husband James, and Diana Lynn and husband Chris, all of Ada; two sons, Brian Futischa and daughter-in-law Ronda Futischa, and Jonathan Futischa and daughter-in-law Mary Lowden, all of Ada; a brother-in-law, Jody Rowland, Ada; two sisters, Lavenda Ann Futischa, Ada, and Aline Dickens, Yukon; one brother, Russell Futischa, Ada; 10 grandchildren, Shawn Futischa, Tracey Futischa, Darrell Futischa, Briana Futischa, Jasmen Walker, Jessica Walker, Andrew Lynn, Ashley Lynn and Kaylee Lynn, all of Ada, and Alexis Futischa, McAlester; four great-grandchildren, Kaiden Harjo, Naomi Harjo, Bradley Harjo and Stetson Stoneciper, all of Ada; and one great-great-granddaughter, Leann Scott, Ada; and several nephews and nieces.
Bearers are Jody Rowland, Jody Rowland Jr., Darell Futischa, Shawn Futischa, Chris Vann and James Ward. Honorary bearers will be Terry Stick, Duane McClure, Chris Lynn and Jimmy "Chubs" Coody.
