Rosy Hanks

Services for Rosella Lee "Rosy" Hanks, 87, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Morris Memorial Baptist Church, her son, Michael W. Hanks will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Hanks passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020 at a Tulsa hospital. She was born July 6, 1932 at Stuart to Dennis S. and Bertha M. Adams McDuffie. She graduated from Calvin High School.

She married Doyle W. "Red" Hanks November 4, 1950. He preceded her in death July 3, 2003. Mrs. Hanks was the co-owner and operator of Hanks Nursery here in Ada from 1976 to 2003 when she sold the business to her son. Mrs. Hanks was an active member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church. She loved her grandchildren and tending to flowers.

Survivors include a daughter, Dana Biggs and husband Gary of Mounds; three sons, Michael Hanks and wife Judy, Ada, Darryl Hanks and wife Patricia, of Oklahoma, and David Hanks and wife Pam, Ada; a brother, Will E. McDuffie of Washington; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Roger McDuffie.

Bearers will be her grandsons.
