RONALD SCOTT
ADA-Services for Ronald Gordon Scott, 81, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Steve Wilburn will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Scott died Friday, August 31, 2012 at his home. He was born October 6, 1930 in Ada, Oklahoma to Gordon B. and Nellie O. Killian Scott. He lived in this area all his life and attended Ada schools.
He married Wanda Joyce Jones on October 6, 1949. She preceded him in death on February 23, 2012. Mr. Scott was formerly the owner of K & S Floor Covering in Ada, and later a deputy with the Pontotoc County Sheriff's Department until his retirement. He was of the Baptist faith and had served in the U. S. Army from 1949 until 1953.
Survivors include his children, Evonda Jackson and husband Cliff, Ada, Carol Richardson and husband Darrel, Sulphur, Donald Scott and wife Vickie, Ada, Arnold Scott and wife Linda, Ada, and Loretta Bush and husband Tom of Ada; 11 grandchildren, Justin Priest and wife Tana, Ada, Kandyce Jones and husband Bobby, Ada, Karis Alford and husband Brandon, Norman, Destry Richardson, Oklahoma City, Jason Richardson and wife Jana, Shawnee, Casie Elkins and husband Mike, Ada, Brytanie Shinault and husband Daniel, Ada, Joe Myers and wife Brandy, Ada, Donny Scott, Ada, Logan Scott, Ada, and Heston Bush, Ada; 10 great grandchildren; one brother, Wayne Scott of Missouri; and two sisters, Lawanna Villines and husband Bill of Madill, and Chloe Boydston and husband Harvey, Moore.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce; an infant brother; and a great-great grandchild.
Bearers will be his grandsons: Justin Priest, Joe Myers, Destry Richardson, Donny Scott, Heston Bush and Logan Scott.
