EDDIE HAWKINS
LAKE KIOWA, TEXAS-Services for Ronald Edward "Eddie" Hawkins, 46, of Lake Kiowa, TX, formerly of Moore will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Connerville First Baptist Church, Rev. Scott Sundbye will officiate. Burial will follow at Connerville Cemetery.
Mr. Hawkins died Monday, January 6, 2014 at a Sherman, Texas hospital. He was born October 28, 1967 at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dearborn, Ohio to Jimmie Ray and Carol Jean Duncan Hawkins. He lived most of his life in Moore, Oklahoma and graduated from Moore High School in 1985. He also attended Rose State College.
Mr. Hawkins was employed with U. P. S. until 1987. He then was employed in the Sheet Metal Union until retirement in 2009. He relocated to Lake Kiowa, TX where he lived with his daughter and furry friend Teddy. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Gainesville, Texas.
Survivors include his daughter, Tori Hawkins, of the home; his parents, Jim and Carol Hawkins of Lake Kiowa, TX; a brother, Tony Hawkins and wife Dana and children Stoney, Brock and Raylie, all of Frisco, TX; aunts, Barbara Williams and husband Bob of Ada and children Vicki of Ada, Laura of Stonewall and Bob of Stonewall; Martha Southard and husband Tom of Oklahoma City and children Tracey of Tulsa, Jamie of Pensacola, FL and Lee of Oklahoma City; Juanita Tilley and husband Kenneth of Casa Grande, AZ and children, Linda of Hastings, NE, Kris of Concord, NH and Steve of Greer, SC; and many other cousins and relatives.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Raymond and Ova Hawkins and Ervin and Lorene Duncan and best friend, Robert Davis.
Bearers will be his cousins and nephews.
