ROMAINE LEIGHTON
ADA-Services for Romaine Davis Leighton, 62, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Jimmy Keith will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
Mr. Leighton died Monday, March 1, 2010 at a local hospital. He was born August 3, 1947 at El Campo, Texas to Malcolm Dean and Lila Davis Leighton. He and his family moved to Ada in 1950 from Conway, Arkansas and he attended Ada schools.
Mr. Leighton was a former O. G. & E employee, a member of the Unity Baptist church and had served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Era with the 101st Airborne Division.
Survivors include one son, Roy Dean "Bo" Leighton, Ada; one daughter, Rachelle Leighton, Ada; his mother, Lila Leighton, Ada; a sister, Pam Vestal and husband Richard, Oklahoma City; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Larry Leighton.
