Obituary

Roger A. Lancaster

Services for Roger A. Lancaster, 87, of Ada are 10:00 AM Friday, October 16, 2026 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel; Rev Stacy Ross will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Roger passed away October 14, 2026, at his home.  He was born August 19, 1939 in Sasakawa to Marion and Mildred Doolen Lancaster. He graduated from Byng High School and retired from the Teamsters after 30 years of service. On August 7, 1987, he married Jean Johnson in Ninnekah.

An avid outdoorsman from early childhood, he hunted and fished for most of his life. From hunting quail to noodling catfish, from running rabbits to trapping turtles, Roger loved it all. He also enjoyed playing dominoes, having a regular Tuesday game for over 30 years.

Above all, Roger loved his family. He was blessed with children, grandchildren, a great grandson, siblings, nieces, great nephews and 32 first cousins. His family was his great joy and pride, and the time he spent with them was his most treasured blessing. Whether gathered around a domino table, sharing stories or enjoying one another's company, frequently over a meal, those moments created memories that will be held close to the hearts of the many who loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Lancaster of the home; son Steve Lancaster; two daughters, Adrianna Lancaster and husband, RD; and Vicki Joyce; brother Marion Chuck Lancaster and wife, Linda; grandsons, Alec Lancaster and wife, Hannah and Colton Lancaster and wife, Cy Freeman; granddaughter, Jillian Beam and husband, Jason; one great grandson, Collin Lancaster; and nieces, Thresa Ross and husband, Roy, Tiffany Frye and husband, Cody; Kyra Miller and husband, Heath, and Katy Perez and husband, Michael.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Connie Tweedy.
