ADA-Graveside services for Roger Dale Elliott, 72, Ada, are 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Toby Willoughby will officiate.

Mr. Elliott died Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, at his home. He was born Sept. 14, 1945, to Paul Judson 'Jud' and Mary Ethel Gambrell Elliott at Ada. He graduated from Latta School and East Central University. During his younger years he participated in rodeo. Mr. Elliott was a basketball coach and teacher at Tupelo, Kiowa and Latta schools. He was a successful coach at each school and was selected as an All-State coach. He was a member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church and had served in the United States Army Reserve.

He and Londa Beth McLaughlin were married Aug. 8, 2008, at Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Survivors include his wife, Londa, of the home; his son, Dr. Jeffery Dale Elliott and wife April, Ada; his daughter, Kelly Leah Elliott, Ada; two brothers, Paul Elliott and wife Joan, and Jerry Elliott and wife Jeanne; five grandchildren, Chandler Elliott, Ethan Elliott, Avery Elliott, Novalee Elliott, and Chloe Haller; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Ray Elliott.

Bearers will be Rickey Eaton, Chandler Elliott, Ethan Elliott, Avery Elliott, Ray Elliott and Donnie Elliott. Honorary bearer is Brad Lancaster.
