ROBERT TAYLOR
ADA-Services for Robert Earl Taylor, 62, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Earl Blankenship will officiate.
Mr. Taylor died Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at a local hospital. He was born November 19, 1949 in Ft. Worth, Texas to John David Taylor and Jessie Lee Barker Carpenter Taylor. He attended grade school at the Austin, Texas School for the Deaf and at the Sulphur School for the Deaf. He came to this area in 1957 from Ft. Worth, Texas.
He was a neighborhood handyman and worked at the Garr Corner Store for his good friend Harold Pennington. Mr. Taylor was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed playing pool.
Survivors include two brothers, Eddie Lloyd Carpenter of Vanoss and Jimmy Dale Taylor of Mansfield, Texas; two sisters, Geraldine E. Anderson of Ada and Tempie Irene Johnston of Ft. Worth, Texas; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, aunt and uncle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Nellie Jo Brooks and Joann Muck; two brothers, William D. Taylor and Edgar A. Carpenter.
