Services for Robert Frisco Micco, 73, of Konawa are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Kellos Walker will officiate. Burial will follow at Emarthla Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Micco died Saturday, February 10, 2018 at a Seminole Care Center. He was born November 5, 1944 in Cromwell to Hempsey and Mattie Looney Micco.
He married Nan Emarthla on March 28, 2009 at Spring Baptist Church in Sasakwa. He was a retired the Merchant Marine working as a Boatswain on the ship. He also served in the U. S. Navy and was a member of the Ada First Indian Baptist Church.
Frisco enjoyed attending traditional church services where he loved hearing Creek Native hymns. He always enjoyed talking to people and used his humor to make anyone smile or laugh. He never met a stranger.
He loved his career as a merchant marine, spending time out at sea months at a time. He got to travel around the world while on the job. He felt it was his call in life to be a merchant marine. After retiring, he continued to stay active doing work around his home with his tractor.
Frisco was a member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma and belonged to the Tom Palmer Band. He will be remembered for his good nature, smile and sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife Nan, of the home; four sisters, Ann Hickey of Bryant, Sarah Winney of Weleetka, Nell English of Okmulgee, and Raney Micco of Weleetka; two brothers, Johnny Micco and Tommy Fisher both of Weleetka.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dempsey Micco and James Micco, and two infant brothers; and two sisters, Alice Watson and Finney Micco.
Bearers will be Chebon Emarthla, Greg Chilcoat, Randy Northcott, Zac Postoak, Michael Manley, and Jimsey Micco.
