ADA-Services for Robert Wesley Bowers, 76, Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. George Carson will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Bowers died Monday, August 4, 2008 at his home in the loving presence of his wife and family. He was born December 9, 1931 in Bennington, Oklahoma to John Wesley and Katie Graham Bowers. He attended Bennington schools and graduated from Bennington High School. He attended Okmulgee Tech and served in the U. S. Army for two years in Germany.

He married Sally Anderson in 1958 at Bennington. He was a printer in DeQueen, Arkansas and later, he and his family moved to Ada in 1968 from Paris, Texas. Mr. Bowers was a printer in Ada for Federal Printing and later Tipton Graphic Arts. He retired from Ada Printing in October 2007.

Survivors include his wife, Sally Bowers, of the home; two sons, Don Bowers and wife Patty, Ada, and Wesley Bowers, Ada; one daughter, Nancy Bowers, Edmond; and a sister, Zelda Woodrum, Durant.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, J. W. Bowers and Spencer Bowers, and three sisters, Martha Lewis, Olivia Carpenter, and Lola Palmer.

Bearers will be Wesley Bowers, Don Bowers, Wayne Bush, Danny Bush, Mark Bush, and Steve Kelso.
