Rilla
Webb
June 12, 1944 – December 2, 2021
Services for Rilla Irene Webb, 77, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the 32 nd Street Church of Christ. Mr. Carl Johnson and Mr. Joe Hisle will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Webb went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the age of 77. Rilla was born on June 12, 1944 to Luke and Geneva (Deatherage) Taylor. She married Roy Webb on April 30, 1990. Together they made their home in Ada, Oklahoma.
Rilla was a devoted member of the Church of Christ where she called the fellow members family. To know Rilla was to know a friend, she never ceased to put others before herself. She was always willing to give of her time and resources when there was a need. It was quoted that "Rilla treated everyone she met as if they were royalty."
Rilla was known for her quilting abilities. Quilting was her passion and she loved to gift her beautiful creations to her many friends and loved ones. Most recently she was able to give each of her 9 great-grandchildren their very own quilt designed and created specifically for them.
Rilla's favorite role was "Mimi" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mimi was known as the "safe place" for all of her grandbabies. She was full of love, hugs, and snuggles. Her house was always full of homemade foods and desserts. She made sure that everyone's favorite treat was available when they came to visit. In fact, it was said that she had a "Magic Pan" and no one could bake like Mimi.
She is survived by her husband, Roy, of the home; her children: Shelley and Gary Sweat, Bobby and Brenda Webb, and Tabby Pletcher; her grandchildren: Michael and Tamara Jennings, and their children: Brody and Jagger; Logan and Pen Phillips, and their children: Griffin and Ryatt; Bethany and Nalon Hopkins, and their children: Cassandra, Easton and Rhyker; Forrest and Julia Sweat, and their daughter: Remington; Christian and Zane Reynolds, and their son: Gunner; and Jeni Anise Moore. And one sister: Sue Worrell along with niece, Krista and nephew, Scott.
Rilla was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Laura Irene Kinard; and many other brothers and sisters.
The family is requesting that if you have ever received a quilt from our Mimi that you would please bring it to the service on Saturday and share your special Story.
