Richard Wilkerson
ROFF-Services for Richard Wayne Wilkerson, 76, of Roff are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne Edgar will officiate. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
Mr. Wilkerson died Saturday, July 17, 2015 at an Ada hospital. He was born October 26, 1938 at Hillsboro, TX to Clarence Edward and Bessie Lee Hixson Wilkerson. He attended grade school in Keene, TX and high school in Ft. Worth, TX.
He married Melissa Green May 5, 1986. Mr. Wilkerson was a machinist for Santa Fe Railroad and Haliburton until his retirement. He was also a retired rancher. He attended Sunshine Missionary Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman. He served in the U. S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa Green-Wilkerson, of the home; two sons, Rick Wilkerson and wife Michele, Granbury, TX and Kirk Wilkerson, Arlington, TX; two daughters, Karyn Rabas and husband Kent, Burleson, TX and Keisha Factor and husband Terry, Ada; a brother, Garry Wilkerson and wife Donna, North Richland Hills; his grandchildren, Conner Wilkerson, Jake Chambers, Alex Rabas, Kristi Szurgot, Kaylee Wilkerson and Katy Brauer; and great-grandchildren, Logan Brauer and Jace Szurgot.
Bearers will be Ronnie Randolph, Jerry Lamb, Howard McFarland, Larry Heard, Daryl Sawyer and Eddie Easterling. Honorary bearers are Ricky Haney, Jim Silva, J. L. Green, Judd Green and Terry Factor.
