RICHARD WALKER
ADA-Graveside services for Richard Philip Walker, 88, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rev. Gary Brandt will officiate.
Mr. Walker died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at his home. He was born March 8, 1921 at Verona, Pennsylvania to Philip and Gertrude Schwartz Walker. He graduated from high school in Cochrantin, Pennsylvania.
He married Esther Bailey on October 12, 1956 at Conneaut, Ohio. Mr. Walker was a truck driver for Kelroy Steel Company in Cleveland, Ohio retiring in 1978 after 20 years of service. He and his wife moved to Ada in 1978 from Ohio and he was a truck driver for Sanford Oil Company retiring in 1983. Mr. Walker was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Ada and had served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Esther Walker, of the home.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred, George and Bob.
Bearers will be Lyle Bailey, Jim Hill, Don Kaiser, Ted Loman, Lowell Leach and Charles Tamashiro.
