ALLEN-Graveside Memorial service for Richard Leo-Paul Laplante, 59, of Allen are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Rosedale Cemetery, Rev. Walter Kuhlman will officiate.
Mr. Laplante died Saturday, January 17, 2015 at a Durant nursing home. He was born July 9, 1955 in Canada to Normand and Gisele Quessy Laplante. He attended grade school in Canada and high school in California.
He moved to this area in 1990 from California. Mr. Laplante was a truck driver.
Survivors include his mother, Gisele Laplante of California; two sons, Jacob Laplante and wife Amanda and Kevin Laplante and wife Amy, of Calera; a brother, Leon Laplante of California; four sisters, Martine Laplante of California, Claudine DiTorrice of Oregon, Molly Schmidt of Washington and Danielle Laplante of Canada; six granddaughters; four grandsons; and a great grand-daughter.
He was preceded in death by his father, Normand Laplante; a son, Jarrod Laplante; and a brother, Ray Laplante.
