KERRY RUNNELS
ADA-Services for Richard Lee "Kerry" Runnels, 42, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the St. James Church of God in Christ, Rev. Charles Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Athens Cemetery.
Mr. Runnels died Sunday, September 26, 2010 at a local hospital. He was born August 30, 1968 at Ada, Oklahoma to James Wesley Runnels II and Delois Carrethers. He attended Byng elementary and graduated from Sapulpa High School.
Mr. Runnels was a cook and custodian at Bandana's and Doc's Restaurants in Ada.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Fulsom, of the home; his seven children, Alisha Titsworth and her children Cornelious and Trenity of Sapulpa, Michael Gore of California, Charles Runnels and his fiancé, Chelsea Garrett and their children Braydon, Trayson and one on the way, all of Ada, Stephanie Raymond and husband Adrian Raymond and their children Tyriese and Tyrell of Ada, and their mother, Kathleen Seckinger Jones of Ada, Malenea Runnels, Tanner Runnels, Makayla Runnels and their mother, Melody Sanders May of Del City; his father, James Wesley Runnels II of Beggs; his step-mother, Mayetta Bowens of Tulsa; three brothers, James Runnels III, Oklahoma City, William Runnels, Ada, and Tony Warner, Oklahoma City; two sisters, Mary Shaw, Norman and Sherrice Tate Jones, Beggs; and an aunt, Ella Carrethers, Sulphur, Delilah and Michael Heata, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Delois Carrethers; grandmothers, Irene Kemp and Lee Dorothy Carrethers; a brother, DeShiko Shaw; aunt, Carol Carrrethers, aunt, Judy Runnels, and uncle Roger Runnels; also his cousins, Tammy Carrethers and Donna Carrethers; and a nephew, Montana Shaw.
Bearers will be Charles Runnels, James Runnels III, Tony Warner, Adrian Raymond, Zack Garrett, Tanner Runnels, William Runnels, Robert Sanders, Chris Woodard and Jerry Barnes. Honorary bearers will be Tom Thomas, William May, Isaiah Shaw, Desmond Shaw and Billy Sanders. Flower bearers will be Malenea Runnels, Stephanie Raymond, Courtney Shaw, MaKayla Runnels, Chelsea Garrett and Desirea Shaw.
