Richard Jackson

Richard Keith Jackson, age 59, an Atoka, OK area resident, was born April 13, 1961 to Raymon H. Jackson and Rose Jane VanSchuver Jackson, in El Paso, TX at Fort Bliss Army Base.

Richard passed away on October 23, 2020 at his home in Atoka after 6 ½ years of dialysis. He graduated from Vanoss High School and later from East Central University. Richard was an A+ certified Computer Repairman.

He married Laura Anne Smith on February 25 ^th , 1984 at Daisy, OK. He was a wonderful husband, friend and Foster Dad. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Atoka. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on computers.

Richard is survived by his wife, Laura Jackson, of the home in Atoka; mother, Rose Jane Jackson of Ada, OK; sister, Rose Marie Sloan and husband Doug of Oklahoma City; sister-in-law, Sharon Burris and husband Alan of Ardmore; niece, Emily Tate and husband Josh, Oklahoma City, OK; two nephews, Daniel Smith and fiancé Erin of Wichita Falls, TX and Aaron Smith and wife Thea of Lindsay, OK; two great-nieces, Fallon Smith and Emory Smith of Wichita Falls, TX; along with other relatives and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Raymon Jackson; and brother-in-law, Jeffrey Smith.

A Memorial Service will be held in Ada, OK.
