Services for Richard Earl Bullard, 64, formerly of Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Reaper Baptist Church; Pastor Ray Douglas will officiate. Burial will follow at Athens Cemetery.
Richard Earl Bullard, the son of the late Willie Faye Bullard and Carl Frazier was born August 24, 1960 in Ada, Oklahoma. At an early age he professed his faith in Jesus Christ and became a member of Philemon Baptist church.
Ricky attended Ada Public schools and graduated from Ada High School Class of 1978. He continued his education at the University of Oklahoma where he pledged Kappa Alpha Psi -Zeta Omega, Spring 1979; The Ark 10. He graduated from East Central University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He moved to Oklahoma City where he worked for the State Department of Mines for over 30 years, becoming the Chief of Accounting and Business Manager until his retirement.
Uncle Rick loved horses. He loved to talk, laugh, and have a good time. He was a very intelligent man with a generous spirit and an outgoing personality. If there was any way he could help (boss) anyone he would do his best to make it happen. He was active in the Norman Alumni until he departed this life on September 25, 2024, "Longed for Kappa until he reached that Golden Shore."
Ricky leaves to cherish his memory his "children", Chad Blue, Twilah Blue and Billy (Charlene) Blue of Ada; sisters, LaVerne Stevenson, Patricia Mustin, Melissa Harper, Tonya Quarterman, Elizabeth Weber and Mercedes Weber; brothers, Michael Harper, Jeff Harper, Kerry Harper, and Selwyn (Nicole) Frazier; great nephews, Trejan and Richard (his name sake) Blue, Jonah and Joshua Ascencion; God Daughter, Britney Spratt; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Faye Bullard; father, Carl Frazier; sisters, Patricia Blue and Connie Johnson.
