Services for Reva Aldean Dockrey, 88, of Allen are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Richmond Avenue Free Will Baptist Church, Rev. Buddy Drake will officiate. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Allen Chapel from 4:00 p.m. Monday until service time.
Mrs. Dockrey passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at a Sulphur hospital. She was born January 18, 1928 at Claremore to Amon Leander and Edna Lucille Baker Self.
She married Wilburn Lite "Bill" Carter September 8, 1956 in Carlsbad, NM. He preceded her in death March 30, 1994 in Muskogee. She later married Gail Leonard Dockrey October 16, 1996. He preceded her in death January 25, 2003. Mrs. Dockrey was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Kenny Brewer and wife Linda of Wynnewood and Phillip Burk and wife Mildred of Moore; a brother, Connie Self of Show Low, AZ; four grandchildren, Kendra Jumper and husband Chad of Oklahoma City, Jennifer Melton and husband Billy of Davis, John Burk and wife Deidre of Oklahoma City and Sharla Hill and husband John of Moore; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Bill Carter; her second husband, Gail Dockrey; two sisters, Virginia Walker and Delores Pryor; and two brothers, Doyle Self and Gary Self.
Bearers will be Mike Self, Jerry Self, Larry Self, Chad Jumper, John Burk and John Hill. Honorary bearers will be David Baber, Doug Stinson, Jimmy Nix, S. L. Wallace and Benny Prentice.
